H.E. Ambassador Zhang Jun and Madam Tian Liying and Defence Attaché Senior Colonel Zhang Jichun held a reception on July 29 at the Embassy to celebrate the 83rd anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. Around 200 guests attended the event, among whom were Madam Gout-van Sinderen, Commander of the Support Command (CDC), Major General van Ede, Deputy Commander of Royal Netherlands Navy, Major General Van Groningern, Commandant Netherlands Defence Academy and other Dutch military and civilian officials, friends from different sectors, diplomats and representatives from international organizations, the Chinese community and Dutch and Chinese media. The reception was a great success.
