On August 8, catastrophic mudslides hit Zhouqu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in northwest China's Gansu Province, which caused tremendous casualties and financial loss. The Chinese Government took prompt actions and made immediate deployment for rescue and relief work. All rescue arrangements have been undergoing smoothly since.
