On November 19, 2009, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Zhai Jun met with a delegation of Arab Ambassadors Council in China composed of Kuwaiti Ambassador to China Faisal R.Al-Ghais, Syrian Ambassador to China Khalaf Aljarad, as well as the charge d' affaires ad interim of the Palestinian Embassy in China and the charge d' affaires ad interim of the representative office of the League of Arab States (LAS) in China.

The delegation noted that as the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People on November 29 is coming, Arab states highly appreciate China's long-standing support for the just cause of the Palestinian people. Zhai also expounded China's principled position on the Middle East issue.

Both sides also exchanged views on China-Arab friendly cooperative relations, as well as preparations for the fourth ministerial meeting of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum.
