12 On January 2010, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Wu Hailong at request met with Andrew Steer, Director General for Policy and Research at UK Department for International Development (DFID), exchanging views on issues including the UN high-level meeting on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) to be held in September, climate change and China-UK relations.
