On March 18, 2010, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi held talks with Yu Myung-hwan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Korea, in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. Both sides vowed to work together to enhance exchanges and cooperation in all areas and push forward China-ROK relations.

They also exchanged views on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue, the six-party talks and other regional and international issues of common concern.
