Nanning International Folk Song Arts Festival will be held in Nanning in October 2007. The festival is co-sponsored by Nanning Municipal Government, the Social Culture and Library Department of Ministry of Culture and the Cultural Publicity Department of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission. As a platform for the exchange of ancient folk songs arts and modern arts between China and other nations, the festival is one of the ten most internationally influential festivals and activities in China and has ever won the Bronze-Tie Grand Pinnacle Award authorized by IFEA (International Festival &Events Association) in the year 2005.

With an aim to extend cultural interaction between China and other countries, Nanning International Folk Song Arts Festival in 2007 will become more attractive and influential with its artistry, modernity and internationalism.
